In 1898 we started making health foods from a small bakery in Melbourne, and long before it became trendy, we were promoting the benefits of wholesome plant-based foods. We did this to give Australians healthier choices and we’ve been doing it ever since. Today, we’re the nation's largest health food company and we're still 100% Australian owned.

Good food should also be good for the environment. That’s why we’re always looking for ways to source local ingredients and make our products locally to reduce our impact on the planet. We’re also mindful when making decisions around technology, energy sources and methods of operation, to ensure that the choices we make are sustainable.

Caring for the community is a core value of Sanitarium and our 800 employees. Whether it’s fostering good health and wellbeing through the Sanitarium Weet-Bix Kids TRYathlon series, tackling child hunger through the Good Start Breakfast Club or providing Australians with a free nutrition advice service, we’re here because we want to make a difference.
