We are proud to partner with Foodbank Australia, Australia’s leading food and grocery relief organisation. In normal times ( outside of Covid-19 and disaster relief), Foodbank provides essential assistance to over 1 million Australians experiencing food insecurity every month through their network of 2,950 charities and 2,890 schools.
Our support in 2021 enabled Foodbank to support over 4 million people; reaching communities impacted by natural disasters and COVID-19, people suddenly unemployed, seniors in isolation and families, individuals and their pets, struggling across the country.
“Thanks to Foodbank, we get access to fresh food, toiletries and other necessities that we truly could not live without. Without Foodbank we’d be lost, it’s that simple.”- Anon, Foodbank recipient, VIC
Foodbanks mission to fight hunger is supported by Sanitarium through the Collaborative Pack Supply Program and the Good Start Breakfast Project.
Throughout 2021 Sanitarium have:
- donated 187,600 meals for people experiencing hardship.
- worked with like-minded people in our Collaborative Supply Program to provide 65,550 kilograms of cereal.
- provided funding towards sourcing essential food and grocery relief.
We are in it together.
In addition, with the help of Sanitarium and other partner organisations, Foodbank sourced 86.7 million meals for people in need of help. We’re committed to helping Foodbank keep the positive momentum going in 2022 and help make a difference in the lives of individuals and families across Australia who are doing it tough.
